Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced SEO Specialist to join our team at PressOne Africa. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic SEO campaigns, optimizing website content, and improving search engine rankings for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of driving organic traffic and improving search visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Keyword Research: Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify relevant and high-performing keywords and phrases for client websites and content.

  2. On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, including meta tags, headings, images, and internal linking structures, to improve search engine visibility and user experience.

  3. Content Optimization: Collaborate with content creators and editors to optimize website content, blog posts, articles, and other digital assets for SEO performance and relevance.

  4. Technical SEO: Audit websites for technical issues, such as crawl errors, broken links, site speed, and mobile-friendliness, and implement solutions to improve site health and performance.

  5. Link Building: Develop and execute link building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable websites and improve domain authority and search rankings.

  6. Local SEO: Optimize client websites for local search, including creating and optimizing Google My Business profiles, local citations, and geo-targeted content.

  7. SEO Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and analyze website traffic, keyword rankings, and other SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software, and provide regular performance reports and insights to clients.

  8. Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to identify SEO opportunities, benchmark performance against competitors, and develop strategies to outrank competitors in search results.

  9. Algorithm Updates: Stay updated on search engine algorithm changes, industry trends, and best practices in SEO, and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain and improve search rankings.

  10. Client Communication: Communicate regularly with clients to understand their business objectives, discuss SEO strategies and performance, and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in SEO, with a minimum of 1-0 years of experience in SEO strategy, implementation, and optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools and software, such as Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to articulate SEO concepts and strategies to clients and team members.
