Job Description

Job Overview

  • Wholesale Toys is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to handle daily inventory operations.
  • The ideal candidate will manage stock levels, organizing storage areas, pack supply orders, and support cleanliness and logistics within the store.
  • This role works closely with other team members and requires physical activity and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Conduct daily physical stock checks in the stores.
  • Update inventory records and alert the Account Officer/CEO on low or out of stock items.
  • Assist in preparing and executing stock transfer orders accurately. Stock Handling & Movement
  • Work with team members to move goods between store sections and to the office.
  • Ensure all stock transfers are properly counted and logged.
  • Support packing of supply orders, ensuring accurate labeling and tagging in line with invoice details.

Cleanliness & Sanitation:

  • Assist with daily cleaning of the store and participate in scheduled sanitation routines.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of daily and not carried over. o Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized storage environment

Support Duties:

  • Notify the Account Officer when price tags are needed and help ensure correct pricing on all products.
  • Ensure all goods in the store match invoice records and help maintain orderliness.
  • Assist with basic logistics such as charging and turning off appliances and securing keys/devices at closing.
  • These roles can expand according to business needs

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of SSCE / OND / HND / BSc qualification
  • 1–3 years’ experience in inventory, storekeeping, warehouse, or retail operations.
  • Experience using inventory records, stock cards, or basic inventory software is an advantage.
  • Must reside within Idumota, Lagos Island, or nearby environs.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Good numerical and record-keeping skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to track stock movement and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel or inventory systems).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Honest, reliable, and accountable with strong integrity.
  • Ability to lift or move stock items when required.
