Investor Relations Manager (IRMMC0126)

DelonJobs is seeking to hire an Investor Relations Manager for a leading financial services company in Lagos, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic business development and investment growth plans, managing client relationships, expanding the organization’s investment portfolio, and driving alternative funding opportunities. The role also involves providing wealth management advisory services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term business expansion initiatives. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Investor Relations Manager will be responsible for: 

• Developing and executing strategic business plans to strengthen client relationships and grow the investment portfolio. 
• Acquiring, retaining, and expanding fund management and wealth management clients. 
• Driving sales growth and achieving annual business targets. 
• Monitoring financial regulations, policies, and market developments that may impact investments and earnings. 
• Developing and executing strategic client onboarding and business expansion initiatives. 
• Collaborating with financial institutions to maximize investment opportunities and returns. 
• Providing investment advisory and wealth management support to clients. 
• Ensuring all transactions comply with regulatory and legislative requirements within the financial services industry. 
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships to understand customer needs and business objectives. 
• Preparing and delivering proposals, presentations, and investment recommendations to clients and stakeholders. 
• Developing alternative fundraising and investment solutions for targeted clients and the organization. 
• Identifying low-cost funding opportunities and optimizing investment strategies. 
• Monitoring domestic and international financial market trends, portfolio management developments, and economic indicators. 
• Assessing client risk profiles and ensuring investment solutions align with organizational risk thresholds. 
• Managing client enquiries, complaints, and transactional requests efficiently and professionally. 
• Preparing market intelligence reports, business presentations, and management reports. 
   
   

Educational & Professional Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field. 
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or related professional qualification is an added advantage. 
   Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Treasury Sales, Business Development, Investment Management, or related financial services functions. 
   Competency Requirements: 
• Strong business writing and communication skills. 
• Sound financial interpretation and analytical skills. 
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills. 
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
• Knowledge and experience in customer relationship management. 
• Strong understanding of Investment Management and Financial Advisory services. 
• Strong knowledge of equity, debt, and portfolio management. 
• Good understanding of wealth management tools and investment products. 

Applicants must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional qualification is an added advantage. Candidates should also have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Treasury Sales, Business Development, or Investment Management within the financial services industry. 

 
Monthly gross salary: ₦2,500,000 – ₦3,000,000
