Job Description

Background

We are looking to recruit a Shift Manager who will be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring production efficiency, and coordinating workforce activities to achieve operational targets. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving productivity, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring seamless coordination across all operational units within the plant.

Job Objective

  • Supervise and coordinate daily plant operations to ensure production targets and operational efficiency are achieved. 
  • Monitor production activities, workforce performance, and logistics coordination to ensure smooth plant operations.  
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and operational standards. 
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reports to support management decision-making and performance tracking. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure output targets and shift schedules are met. 
  • Coordinate activities across production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure seamless workflow. 
  • Monitor production lines, machinery, and processes to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. 
  • Supervise factory operatives, including production workers, loaders, warehouse staff, and technicians. 
  • Allocate duties to team members and monitor shift performance to ensure productivity and discipline. 
  • Provide operational guidance, training, and support on procedures and safety standards. 
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and workplace regulations. 
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized working environment within the plant. 
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. 
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly functioning and report faults promptly to maintenance. 
  • Oversee proper use of tools and equipment to prevent damage, accidents, or disruptions. 
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, workforce attendance, incidents, and operational activities. 
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review. 
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and productivity. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational strategy execution. 
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all operational and company information. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

Requirements

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum of First Degree is required.  
  • 2–3 years’ experience in operations, production, or plant supervision.
