Job Description

DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Group Chief Financial Officer for a financial Company in Lagos, Nigeria. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of financial systems and strategies that maximize value, optimize resource allocation, and ensure long-term sustainability. He/She will align finance with business priorities, drive innovation, and build capabilities for sustained growth.

Interested candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related discipline with at least 15 years’ experience, with a strong track record in progressively senior finance leadership roles.

Monthly net salary is between N2,250,000 – N2,700,000

Key Responsibilities:     

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and execute strategies aligned with the group's vision and market dynamics.
  • Capital Allocation: Optimize resource deployment for maximum ROI and impact.
  • Investment Management: Drive data-led investment decisions, including portfolio and divestiture management.
  • Process & Controls: Streamline financial processes and implement robust controls for efficiency and transparency.
  • Performance Management: Set and monitor KPIs to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Growth Strategy: Identify and design solutions to capture group-level growth opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Develop comprehensive frameworks to assess and mitigate financial risks.
  • Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing, accountable, and innovative finance team.
  • Digital Transformation: Leverage technology to automate workflows and enable real-time financial insights.
  • Treasury Management: Enhance liquidity, optimize capital structure, and manage macroeconomic exposure.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience, with a strong track record in progressively senior finance leadership roles.
  • Advanced degrees, such as an MBA, are preferred but should demonstrate a focus on problem-solving and strategic leadership.
  • Must possess ICAN or ACCA or CFA.
  • Experience in Designing Scalable and Flexible Financial Systems.
  • Critical Thinking and Strategic Innovation.
  • Proficiency in Digital Financial Tools.
