Job Overview:

As an Architect at Design Union Limited, you will play a pivotal role in transforming conceptual ideas into architectural realities. You will be involved in every phase of the design process, from initial concept development to construction and project completion. Key Responsibilities:

1. Conceptual Design:
   • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project goals, requirements, and design preferences.
   • Generate innovative and conceptually strong design proposals that address client needs and aspirations.
2. Design Development:
   • Develop detailed architectural drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
   • Refine designs based on client feedback, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.
3. Project Management:
   • Manage and coordinate architectural projects from inception to completion.
   • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
4. Site Analysis and Planning:
   • Conduct site analysis to assess environmental factors, zoning regulations, and site constraints.
   • Contribute to the development of master plans and urban design strategies.
5. Client Interaction:
   • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
   • Present design concepts and proposals to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
6. Collaboration with Consultants:
   • Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) consultants, and other specialists to integrate various design elements.
   • Ensure seamless collaboration between design disciplines.
7. Code Compliance:
   • Stay informed about building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.
   • Ensure that designs adhere to local and international building standards.
8. Construction Documentation:
   • Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules.
   • Facilitate the bidding process and evaluate contractor proposals.
9. Quality Control:
   • Conduct quality control reviews during construction to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
   • Address and resolve any design-related issues that may arise during construction.
10. Sustainable Design:
    • Integrate sustainable design principles and practices into architectural projects.
    • Explore environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions.
11. Continuing Education:
    • Stay abreast of advancements in architecture, design trends, and new technologies.
    • Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance architectural skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience as an Architect, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant architectural tools.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction methods.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Creativity and a passion for innovative design solutions.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building concepts.
