Job Overview:

As a Barista at Italian Coffee Ventures, you will be at the forefront of delivering an unparalleled coffee experience to our customers. Key Responsibilities:

1. Coffee Preparation:
   • Master the art of espresso extraction, milk frothing, and brewing techniques.
   • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks.
2. Customer Service:
   • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience.
   • Make personalized recommendations based on customer preferences.
3. Menu Knowledge:
   • Have a comprehensive understanding of the coffee menu, including different coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
   • Educate customers on our coffee offerings and assist with menu selections.
4. Quality Control:
   • Ensure the consistency and quality of coffee beverages by following standard recipes and brewing guidelines.
   • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of coffee-making equipment.
5. Efficiency and Speed:
   • Handle high volumes of orders with efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
   • Manage time effectively to meet customer expectations during peak hours.
6. Cash Handling:
   • Process customer transactions accurately and handle cash with integrity.
   • Manage cash registers and provide change as needed.
7. Team Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with fellow Baristas and team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
   • Assist in keeping the coffeehouse clean and organized.
8. Continuous Learning:
   • Stay informed about the latest coffee trends, brewing techniques, and industry developments.
   • Attend training sessions to enhance coffee knowledge and barista skills.
9. Upselling and Promotion:
   • Upsell additional items such as pastries, desserts, or coffee accessories to enhance the customer experience.
   • Participate in promotional events or campaigns to drive sales.
10. Customer Engagement:
    • Build rapport with customers through friendly interactions and personalized service.
    • Foster a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in the coffeehouse.
11. Adaptability:
    • Adapt to changes in customer flow, menu updates, and operational procedures.
    • Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role, preferably in a coffeehouse or café setting.
• Knowledge of different coffee beans, brewing methods, and espresso extraction techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.

• Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
