Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a field relevant to the industry (e.g. Physics and Maths).
- Additional business-related qualifications may be a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical capabilities and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and present compelling technical proposals, documentation and presentations to clients.
- Keep abreast of industry advancements and technological trends.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding business development and revenue targets.
- Demonstrable diligence, commitment and zeal for excellence on the job.
Technical and Business Skill requirements:
- Proven experience in both engineering and business development roles.
- Proficiency in engineering principles and technical concepts related to the energy industry and ability to understand and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and requirements.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering software and tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business principles and strategies.
- Knowledge of financial modelling and innate ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and contribute to strategic business plans.
- Understanding of engineering project management methodologies and the ability to coordinate with engineering teams for successful project execution.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal, numerical, analytical and written communication skills.
- Good collaboration, negotiation, interpersonal and persuasion skills and comfortable with sales process and techniques.
