Business Development Manager – BDMNE242

DelonJobs is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager specializing in Civil Engineering with a focus on the Oil and Gas sector for a construction company in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic initiatives to expand our presence within this industry segment. They will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to capitalize on market opportunities and achieve revenue targets. Candidate should have minimum of 5/8 years of experience in business development roles within the civil engineering sector, with a proven track record of success in the Oil and Gas industry.

Salary range is N400,000 – N500,000 monthly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies tailored to the Oil and Gas sector, with a specific focus on civil engineering projects.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive market research, networking, and relationship building.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new partnerships and collaborations.

• Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and tender documents in response to client requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions and value propositions that meet client needs and differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.

• Conduct thorough assessments of potential projects, including risk analysis, feasibility studies, and financial evaluations.

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

• Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities.

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and expand professional networks.

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities, pipeline status, and market trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualifications preferred.

• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business development roles within the civil engineering sector, with a proven track record of success in the Oil and Gas industry.

• Deep understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, particularly related to infrastructure projects in the Oil and Gas sector.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective strategies to drive revenue growth.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Proven experience in leading negotiations, closing deals, and managing complex contracts.

• Highly organized with excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a collaborative and results-oriented approach to achieving objectives.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Experience with project management tools and financial modeling software is a plus.

• Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry events and oversee project activities
