JobIntroduction

A newly established China to Nigeria Air Freight Forwarding Company iscurrently seeking for a well experienced and diligent candidate for theposition of Business Operations Manager. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

a) Ensurethat newly established China to Nigeria Cargo Forwarding Company has its strongfooting in Nigeria by using the best methods to attract customers, maintaintheir needs in term of efficient delivery and rewarding services to improverevenue generation for the company.

o  b) Prospect and identify clients to facilitate the development ofthe business.

o  c) Design good implementable plans for clients business in linewith company policy

   d) Create and manage new account for new clients.

o  e) Organize and manage the team in clearing, documentation andlogistics for the smooth running of operations in the system.

o  f) Prompt attention to all clients’ complaints within thestipulated time frame and with good feedback to management.

o  g) Follow up with both operations and clearing staff to ensure thatall documents are screened before capture and lodgment with customs to identifydeviation (if any) and to inform the clients or management immediately.

o   h) Ensure that all financial request and transactions are wellhandled with dispatch and address seemingly delay with management.

o  i) Ensure all facilities are in place for transporters and that allsafety standards are met with other specific requirements from clients.

o  j) Ensure weekly update of activities to both the CommercialManager and Managing Director.

o  k) Design clients meeting activities and take note for furtherfollow up/actions.

DesiredSkills and Experience.

o  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any discipline.

o  Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in a similar companyor background

o  Proven experience and vast knowledge in Freight Rate Structureunder International trade.

o  Familiarity with Service delivery in relation to the FreightForwarding activity.

o  Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

o  Strong teamwork spirit, hard-working and self-motivated.

o  Logical mindset with a desire to solve challenges while givingattention to details.

o  Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

o  Ability to work with diverse environment and cultures.

o  Good computer skill, familiar with MS-Office Suite (Outlook,Excel and Word).
