Job Description

As a Chef at Patfam, you will be a key player in our culinary journey, responsible for planning and executing menu items that showcase creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of various culinary techniques. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Menu Development:
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to create and update menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and customer preferences.
    • Infuse creativity and innovation into dishes while ensuring they align with the overall concept and brand identity.
  2. Culinary Execution:
    • Lead the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet the highest culinary standards.
    • Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to maintain consistency and quality.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the established standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.
    • Address any issues promptly and implement corrective measures.
  4. Kitchen Management:
    • Manage and train kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
    • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and receiving of food supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
  5. Hygiene and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, conducting regular kitchen inspections and implementing necessary improvements.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
  6. Creativity and Innovation:
    • Stay abreast of culinary trends and innovations, incorporating new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings.
    • Experiment with flavors, textures, and presentation to continually elevate the dining experience.
  7. Customer Engagement:
    • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to address customer feedback and preferences.
    • Interact with patrons when appropriate to gather feedback and create a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary school.
  • Proven experience as a Chef in a high-quality restaurant or culinary establishment.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to guide and inspire kitchen staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to oversee kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Creativity and innovation in menu development and culinary execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
