DelonJobs is looking to hire a Head, Card Issuing for a leading financial institution located in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate would be responsible for management of all card products in the bank whilst developing and ensuring execution of the growth strategy of issuing products, and profitability and cost management of all the debit, credit, and prepaid card variants in the bank. Job Responsibilities

• Lead the product managers to carry out effective market research to determine varying market needs as well as ascertain the feasibility and suitability of existing debit, credit and prepaid card products.
• Lead the analysis of market data, edging the product against competition from other providers, including product reiteration to completion.
• Engage key stakeholders in launching new products, and other strategic initiatives.
• Co-define and co-develop the product strategy and project plans respectively as well as execute the plans while overseeing the implementation of product development policies, objectives, and initiatives.
• Drive debit, credit, and prepaid card product adoption as well as monitor and review product’s market performance to adequately measure growth and make improvement as required.
• Ensure adherence to governance and compliance in line with regulatory and bank policy.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to define concepts and interpret customer needs within arranged timelines as well as evaluate the potential and practicality of proposed products.
• Set and meet the revenue plan as well as other financial responsibilities which include management of all card business P&L.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of first degree in any field from an accredited university
• Professional product management certification would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in card business or relevant payment experience
