DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Product Designer for a contract role with a leading insurance company located in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate would be responsible for crafting exceptional user experiences and visually striking user interfaces for our digital products (Web & Mobile Apps). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our digital products meet user needs, align with business goals, and adhere to design best practices. Interested candidates must possess a first degree in any discipline and have a minimum of 4 years proven work experience in a similar field. Duties & Responsibilities

• User Research: Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, preferences, and pain points.
• User Personas: Develop and maintain user personas to guide design decisions and align with user needs.
• Information Architecture: Create effective information architecture and user flows for web and mobile apps.
• Wireframing: Produce wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes to visualize design concepts and workflows.
• Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes to test and iterate on design ideas.
• Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests to gather user feedback and validate design choices.
• Design Iteration: Iterate on designs based on user feedback, making data-driven improvements.
• User Interface Design: Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Responsive Design: Ensure designs work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
• Design Elements: Create UI elements, including buttons, forms, icons, and navigation menus.
• Accessibility: Ensure that designs adhere to accessibility standards, promoting inclusivity.
• Gather and integrate feedback from team members and stakeholders to improve designs.
• Technical Guidance: Provide clear design specifications and guidance to development teams for implementation.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform design decisions.
• Design Documentation: Create and maintain design documentation, including design specifications, style guides, and design rationale.

Job Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Product Designer with a focus on web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Familiarity with prototyping tools and techniques.
• Understanding front-end development technologies and constraints is a plus. Experience with user testing and usability studies is beneficial.
• A portfolio of past design projects demonstrating a range of skills and experience.
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a UI/UX Designer.
• Time-management skills and adaptability.
• Familiarity with Agile project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello) for Agile project tracking and communication.
