Proposal and Sales Engineer – PSENE241

DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Proposal and Sales Engineer – PSENE241 for a construction company in Lagos, Nigeria. The Ideal candidate be responsible for developing comprehensive proposals for potential projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, technical specifications, and company capabilities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and attention to detail to effectively create compelling proposals that meet client needs and drive business success. Candidate must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification is an added advantage.

Salary range is N500,000 – N600,000 monthly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development: Collaborate with sales, engineering, and other internal teams to gather necessary information and develop high-quality proposals for various projects.

• Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough technical analysis of client requirements, project specifications, and scope of work to ensure accurate proposal development.

• Solution Design: Design innovative and cost-effective solutions to meet client needs while aligning with company capabilities and standards.

• Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates by analyzing project requirements, materials, labor, and other relevant factors to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.

• Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, diagrams, and other supporting materials, to accompany proposals.

• Client Communication: Engage with clients to clarify requirements, address concerns, and provide technical assistance throughout the proposal development process.

• Proposal Presentation: Present proposals to clients clearly and professionally, effectively communicating the proposed solutions, benefits, and value proposition.

• Proposal Review: Conduct thorough reviews of proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements and company standards.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements to continuously improve proposal development processes and strategies.

• Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and support business growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field. A master's degree or professional certification is a plus.

• Strong technical background in engineering, with knowledge of relevant concepts, principles, and best practices. Experience in fields such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering is desirable.

• Proven experience in proposal development, preferably in a technical or engineering environment. Familiarity with proposal writing techniques, methodologies, and tools is essential.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical requirements and develop innovative solutions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in proposal development, documentation, and review processes.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, procurement, and finance, to achieve common goals.

• Customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on understanding and meeting client needs and expectations.

• Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and requirements as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with proposal management writing techniques, Shipley or APMP.

• Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry-specific standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role or sales support function.

• Knowledge of pricing strategies, cost analysis techniques, and financial modeling.

• Experience in preparing technical documentation, such as specifications, drawings, and schematics
