Job Description

DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Team Lead, QA Engineer for a leading financial institution in Africa who will be responsible for performing, controlling and monitoring all performance testing activities to ensure solutions are deployed which meet the expectations of customer as well as managing all performance testing activities and processes for the team. Interested candidates must possess a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Systems Engineering or Business-related discipline with strong Information Systems component and a minimum of 5 years Testing and development experience.  Salary is Negotiable. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze performance testing requirement and coordinate performance testing initiatives with development, infrastructure and operations team.
  2. Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes and procedures for performance testing established, as per standards defined by the organization.
  3. Drive efforts on performance testing, includes planning, hands-on scripting to test execution and oversight of other resources working on automation.
  4. Creating test plan, test schedules, test milestones, test status documents.
  5. Developing scripts, designing test scenarios, test execution, monitoring, analyzing results and reporting performance bottlenecks.
  6. Manage multiple projects, supervising activities of team members to ensure quality deliverable in timely manner.
  7. Ensure that the test environment is put into place before test execution and managed during test execution.
  8. Review the test cases and test data generated by the Test Analysts.
  9. Track the new/ updated requirements in the project and modify testing artifacts accordingly.
  10. Schedule the tests for execution and monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
  11. Track the assigned tasks with respect to the test plan and the project schedule.
  12. Escalate and obtain resolution of the issues related to the test environment and team.
  13. Gather Test Metrics as specified in the Test Strategy.
  14. Drive standards for performance testing practices.

Job Requirements:

  1. Masters or a recognized professional certification will be an added advantage.
  2. Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.
  3. Good coordination and communication skills.
  4. Good leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to use own initiative.
  6. Knowledge of core banking systems.
  7. Experience with test management tools.
  8. Experience with bug tracking tools.
  9. Strong communications and documentation skills.
