Job Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Generate periodic financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
• General Ledger Management:
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
• Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with established accounting principles.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights into variances and trends.
• Contribute to the forecasting process based on financial performance and market trends.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
• Manage accounts receivable, monitoring collections and addressing discrepancies.
• Bank Reconciliation:
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial information.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Tax Compliance:
• Prepare and file various tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.
• Audit Support:
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits.
• Provide necessary documentation and support during audits to ensure a smooth process.
• Financial Analysis:
• Analyze financial data, trends, and key performance indicators to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
• Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
• Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
• Compliance and Regulations:
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations that may impact the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the Nigerian advertising industry is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in account management or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and develop effective marketing campaigns.
• Experience in working with advertising and marketing technologies such as Google Ads, social media, and programmatic marketing.
