Position Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced and dynamic individuals to join our team as Managers at Stanbic IBTC Bank. As a Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth, managing client relationships, and leading a team of professionals to deliver exceptional results. You will work closely with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives, drive operational excellence, and achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development: Drive business growth and revenue generation by acquiring new clients, expanding existing relationships, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling of banking products and services. Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and market share objectives.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, institutional investors, and government agencies. Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients, understanding their needs and objectives, and providing tailored financial solutions and advice.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of banking professionals, including Relationship Managers, Sales Executives, and Support Staff, to deliver exceptional service and achieve business goals. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  4. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to develop and execute business strategies, initiatives, and plans that drive sustainable growth and profitability. Identify market trends, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  5. Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management standards. Implement robust risk management frameworks, controls, and procedures to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks. Monitor and report on key risk indicators and escalate issues as necessary.
  6. Product Development: Work closely with product development teams to identify customer needs, market gaps, and product opportunities. Provide input and feedback on the design, development, and launch of new banking products and services, ensuring alignment with customer preferences and regulatory requirements.
  7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and business performance against targets and benchmarks. Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders to communicate progress, insights, and recommendations.
  8. Community Engagement: Represent the bank in community events, industry forums, and professional associations to promote brand awareness, reputation, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Build strategic partnerships and networks to enhance the bank's presence and influence in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in banking, financial services, or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, client relationship management, and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and problem-solving capabilities.
