Job Description

DelonJobs is seeking to hire Unit Head, Enterprise Analytics for a tier-1 bank in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction in the planning, development, and implementation of various Enterprise Analytics projects and initiatives and adherence to Data policies, standards and practices with all cost represented in draft budget for approval. Candidate should have 10+ years of experience in designing, developing and delivering enterprise analytics capabilities. Candidate must have bachelor’s degree in business/IT related discipline.

Job Description
•    Develop, implement, monitor & evaluate Data Products, Service and Initiatives that provide sizeable financial benefits to the organization. 
•    Support the development and adoption of the Enterprise Analytics Strategies, Techniques and Tools; ensure alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives.
•    Develop goals and objectives that break down the overall strategy into high-level workplans approved for the Enterprise Analytics unit.
•    Develop and implement enterprise-wide analytics frameworks comprising policies, standards, guiding principles, processes, tools and best practices. 
•    Lead the implementation of analytics strategies & processes across the entire data lifecycle management framework.
•    Lead the implementation of all enterprise-wide analytics initiatives and deliver on the expected outcomes.
•    Lead the development and implementation of a bank wide change management program for Analytics initiatives. 
•    Responsible for playing the role of leading innovation through data science within the business and, as such, defines how the business creates additional value through the utilization of its data assets and analytics.
•    Responsible for the creation of new data sciences capabilities for the business by envisioning and executing strategies that will influence improvement of the business’s performance by enabling informed decision making.
•    Ensure the development and maintenance of advanced analytics capabilities that deliver competitive advantage to the Bank as seen in increased profitability, managing risks and compliance whilst reducing cost of operations.
•    Serve as a liaison between the Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Information Technology (IT) to ensure that all data related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood. 
•    Collaborate with the bank’s control units (ICEG, Ops Risk, Internal Audit), promoting best practices in analytics and data science to aid operations.
•    Provide monthly data science capability reports that illustrate progress and value creation across all Business Units. 
•    Lead analytics capability maturity across the Bank; conduct analytics sessions with BUs.
•    Support the definition, monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics of Enterprise Analytics Programs.  
•    Support the Domain Governors and Data Governance partners to achieve their data governance related objectives; resolving issues escalated from Business and Functional areas. 
•    Support the creation and monitoring the budget and spend for the Analytics Programs 
•    Provide progress reports to management and oversee periodic updates to the Data Governance Council 
•    Foster collaboration with other teams within EDMTA department in achieving the objectives of the unit.
•    Carry out engagements across all Management levels of the Bank on Enterprise Analytics as well as the implications and responsibilities of the management. 
•    Manage the interrelationships across enterprise projects while optimizing the performance of both projects and BaU portfolio to achieve the best outcome. 
•    Develop and obtain approval for the training plan for the Enterprise Analytics unit.
•    Provide coaching and on-the-job training to colleagues within the unit to undertake their assigned responsibilities and increase productivity.

Job Knowledge 
•    Proficient knowledge of data governance and quality development frameworks, concepts and best practices 
•    Proficient knowledge of structured systems analysis and design, and software development life cycle. 
•    Good Understanding of Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical). 
•    Knowledge of Master Data Management and the ability to anticipate typical MDM implementation challenges and proffer practical solutions. 
•    Good knowledge of the concept of Business Intelligence, Analytics & Big Data and demonstrated a good understanding of their impact on ROI.  
•    Good knowledge of the concept of Reference Data Management Metadata.

Job Requirements
•    Minimum of a first degree or its equivalent in a business /IT related discipline. 
•    10+ years of experience in designing, developing and delivering enterprise analytics capabilities.
•    Masters, MBA, or a recognized professional certification will be an added advantage.
