Responsibilities
- the planning of auditing initiatives and the identification of required activities
- ensuring that the accuracy and auditing requirements are upheld in financial reports and other audits.
- Discussion with management and other stakeholders regarding conclusions and audit findings.
- putting together plans to help junior auditors produce better work.
- helping out with the auditing process as needed.
- timely filing of reports and audits for management to analyze further.
- keeping abreast of changes to pertinent legislation and the industry as a whole.
- recognizing auditing issues and assisting with their resolution.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or commerce.
- Must be ICAN chartered.
- At least 3 years' experience as an auditor, with a working knowledge of different accounting software.
- Working knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of auditing best practices
- In-depth knowledge of company compliance proceedings, and financial rules.
