Job Description

DelonJobs is seeking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager for an ICT firm located in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the business side of the organization through strategic and tactical execution of ideas. The candidate also will be responsible for overseeing product development or monitoring trends that indicate the need for new products and services. Interested candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any related course and have a minimum of 8 years of working experience with 4 years of progressive management experience in a business development role.   • Develop and regularly update a comprehensive business development plan, with targeted goals, objectives, methods, quantifiable outcomes, and timelines to achieve the organization’s sustainability and annual budget goals.
  • Develop business sustainability strategies to ensure the financial viability of our solutions and services.
  • Support the implementation of the “Growth, Sustainability, Profitability and Resilience” mantra and identify the road map for business development, working alongside Heads of Business Units
    Identify and maintain new contacts and networks relevant to business development and project/solution identification.
  • Develop key strategic consultancy partnerships, in line with the organization’s partnership framework.
  • Support the Management team in developing strategic, tactical, and pricing frameworks that support the prioritization of corporate strategic initiatives and market roll-out.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the organization’s products or services to new customers.
  • Provide insight and data on strategic growth opportunities via market data, voice of customer insight, and more.
  • Develop and present technical papers at professional symposia, author technical articles for trade press, are the subject matter expert.
  • Perform in-depth market and business analyses, and any necessary marketing research needed, to develop business cases for growth initiatives.
  • Develop analyses to solve corporate business problems, collaborate, and coordinate with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues.

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • 8-10 years of working experience.
  • 4 years of progressive management experience in a business development role.
  • Certification in NIMN, CIM, CIPR is also an added advantage.
