Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a strategic and experienced IT Advisor to join our team at MEBS Global Nigeria. As an IT Advisor, you will play a key role in providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and advisory services to our clients on a wide range of IT-related matters. You will work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, identify opportunities for leveraging technology, and develop actionable recommendations to drive digital transformation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to develop IT strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives aligned with business goals and objectives. Conduct strategic assessments, SWOT analyses, and risk assessments to identify opportunities and challenges. Provide recommendations for leveraging technology to enhance business performance, agility, and competitiveness.
  • Technology Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on technology trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Provide expert advice, insights, and recommendations on IT strategy, governance, architecture, infrastructure, and security. Conduct technology assessments, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to inform decision-making and investment prioritization.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead digital transformation initiatives by defining transformational goals, objectives, and KPIs. Identify digital capabilities, platforms, and solutions to enable business innovation, agility, and growth. Develop digital roadmaps, implementation plans, and change management strategies to drive adoption and alignment with business objectives.
  • IT Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure effective management, oversight, and control of IT resources and assets. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Conduct audits, assessments, and reviews to monitor compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors, suppliers, and service providers to support IT initiatives and projects. Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms to optimize value and mitigate risks. Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Project Management: Manage IT projects and initiatives from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Coordinate cross-functional teams, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies, communications plans, and training programs to facilitate adoption of new technologies and processes. Engage with stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in, support, and alignment with change initiatives. Monitor and evaluate change readiness, adoption, and impact.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track progress, measure results, and demonstrate ROI on IT investments. Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates for senior management, stakeholders, and clients. Analyze performance data, trends, and insights to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT consulting, advisory services, or senior IT leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IT strategy, governance, architecture, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading digital transformation initiatives and IT projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
  • ITIL, COBIT, or other relevant certifications are desirable.
