Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Network Engineer to join our team at InfoHob. As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our clients to understand their requirements, assess their existing network environments, and recommend and implement solutions to optimize performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Develop network designs and architectures to meet client requirements for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Network Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve network issues, outages, and performance problems in a timely manner. Conduct network troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues related to connectivity, routing, switching, and security.
  • Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs). Monitor network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities and implement security best practices to protect against cyber attacks.
  • Network Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance and utilization using network monitoring tools and performance metrics. Identify areas for optimization and improvement and implement changes to enhance network performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Network Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory records. Prepare reports and documentation for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to communicate project status, issues, and recommendations.
  • Change Management and Compliance: Manage network changes and updates through proper change control processes. Ensure compliance with network standards, policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and participate in audits and compliance assessments as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Interface with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to procure network equipment, software, and services. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of products and services.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and challenges. Provide technical guidance, support, and recommendations to clients to help them achieve their goals and address their network needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP).
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment and platforms from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Aruba.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
